Local Costco Team Members Visit The University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital

Today at The University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital we were able to host team members from our three local Costco Warehouses for a tour of our hospital, a check presentation, and a special gift presentation.

In 2018 Costco raised over $33 million dollars for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.  In Costco’s 2019 May campaign our three local warehouses raised over $95,000.00. Those proceeds go directly towards supporting the highest needs necessary at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

With local dollars, we are able to fund medically beneficial services and equipment for children seen at The University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. This type of support provides a higher quality of care that gives a child and their families the physical, emotional, and mental support they need to move forward through treatment, getting healthier one step at a time.

With the overwhelming support of local store managers Costco’s cashiers ask for donations in the form of purchasing a miracle balloon in the amounts of $1, $5, $10, $100. The total funds raised throughout the May campaign is a result of a truly collaborative effort among all Costco employees.
