Team Iowa Dance Marathon Recap!
The 2024 Team Iowa Dance Marathon season has officially wrapped up, with a grand total of $2,155,201.51 raised this year! This total is a 10% growth over last year, and will have an incredible impact on the kiddos and families treated at the UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital. Not only will these funds support the areas of highest need throughout the hospital, but it will also support a variety of programs and initiatives, including an endowed professorship within pediatric oncology, the new Facility Dog program, Children’s Library, Food for Families, Continuity of Care, Music Therapy, Pediatric Cardiology, Iowa KidSight, and Mental Health. Our Dance Marathon students continue to do incredible things for our hospital through their year-round fundraising efforts. We would also like to give a special thank you to our top 190 individual fundraisers across all of our Team Iowa Dance Marathon collegiate programs!
This number was chosen to represent the total number of patient beds at the UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital. In total, these 190 individuals raised a collective $589,376 to support patients and families treated from every county across Iowa. Of our 15 collegiate Dance Marathon programs, 8 were represented amongst these top fundraisers:
