THANK YOU to Doug Wagner of WMT 600 and Simon Conway of the WHO 1040 Simon Conway Show for helping make the 19th Call for Kids with Cancer Radiothon possible! With their support and perseverance, and the listening audience’s commitment to do good and support Doug, Simon and families impacts by pediatric cancers – $169,000 was raised in just two days.
This radiothon is a long-standing partnership with University of Iowa Dance Marathon, helping unite the community to do good – and help highlight moving and impactful stories.
We are grateful to our hosts, to the families that told their stories, and to the volunteers that handled taking donations over the phone. This year, we also had WBB player Lucy Olsen join us as a special guest – and she was simply a delight! We hope she might stop by next year as well.
