KHAK Radiothon was a HIT!

We are thrilled to share the incredible success of the  98.1 KHAK Radiothon, held August 14–15 in support of University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children’s Hospital. Thanks to the heartfelt generosity of listeners, sponsors, and our community, we raised an amazing $126,914 to support the children and families who rely on our care. 

This year’s Radiothon was especially meaningful—it marked the first time the event was held inside the hospital since before the COVID-19 pandemic. Being back in the hospital allowed for deeper connections, live storytelling, and a renewed sense of community and hope. 

Over two powerful days, families shared their journeys, children’s voices filled the airwaves, and donors responded with compassion and generosity. Every dollar raised will directly support patient care, family services, and programs that bring comfort and healing to those who need it most.
