Dance Marathon Programs Raise Over $4.88 Million for UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital

When most people hear the words ‘Dance Marathon’ they assume it requires either a lot of miles or many hours of dance moves. However, those who are a part of Miracle Network Dance Marathon programs know it means much more. Dance Marathon is a movement among students to better the lives of patients and their families being treated at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. It is a year round fundraising effort that culminates into a Big Event where participants stand on their feet for anywhere from 4-24 hours at a time.

UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital is proud to be supported by 17 collegiate Dance Marathon programs who collectively raised $4,883,037 this past year alone. These funds will go to many necessary and life-changing areas within our hospital. They will fund a new Child Life Specialist, support Hemodynamics research in our NICU, ensure Music Therapy is always an option for patients, and so much more.
