27th Annual KHAK Radiothon!
Today kicks off the 27th annual KHAK Radiothon benefitting University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children’s Hospital. Since the inaugural event in 1997, the event has raised over $3.2 million. This year we are hoping to add to that total with a goal of raising $150,000.
Radiothon provides listeners with the opportunity to hear from children and their parents about the care and support they received at UIHC Stead Family Children’s Hospital. It allows us to spread awareness and connect the community with the amazing and life saving stories that come out of the children’s hospital. Because of donations received over the next two days, the highest needs of the hospital are able to be met, whether that is support services, research, improved facilities and more.
“We are so grateful to KHAK for their ongoing partnership and helping to rally the community in support of kids and families treated at our hospital,” said Andrea Chambers, Associate Director of Development, Children’s Miracle Network.
UIHC Stead Family Children’s Hospital, a Children’s Miracle Network member hospital, is on the frontlines when it comes to protecting the health of future generations, but they can’t do it alone. Changing the health of even one child or family creates a ripple effect felt by communities for years to come.
